To be fair, you could say that Cap handed him the shield.

At high velocities, to be sure, but that's the kind of technicality our sesquipedalian Mr. McCoy would revel in upon achieving his doctorate.

Note the first: If Marvel ever gave Dr. McCoy a solo series, wouldn't The Sequipedalian Beast be the perfect title in the Mighty Marvel Manner?

Note the second: "Sesquipedalian" is not in the Firefox spellcheck dictionary.
