Yes, Stan, of course holograms are magic and can do things that don't make any sense at all. That just proves how brilliant Tony Stark is.
If he's so brilliant, why does he need help from the Thing of all people? He doesn't hang out with the Hulk. Go scare Rick Jones instead.
